Stroll through medieval Obidos, and see the tomb of explorer Vasco da Gama at Lisbon’s Jeronimos Monastery. Explore Tomar, former seat of the Order of the Knight's Templar, and tour Henry the Navigator's Promontory of Sagres near Cape St. Vincent. Stand in the shadows of a 14th-century castle in the charming town of Belmonte, and light a candle in the pilgrim procession through miraculous Fátima. Try local specialties in a renowned vineyard and raise your spirits and a glass of port in a world-famous wine cellar.
We are back home and finally rested up! This was our first escorted bus tour so have no comparisons to make except we had a very good time. Staying 2-3 nights in each location was excellent planning and all hotels were fine.Nice group of folks on board from Bard’s supporters, having Christopher there was extra special! Vicki & Jennifer contributed also. Glad we took part and have loads of photos plus my daily journal for great memories.
